Eatonton, GA – Woman Killed in Fatal Car Crash at W Bypass & Imperial Mill Rd
Eatonton, GA (October 21, 2021) – At 8:45 p.m. on the night of Sunday, October 17, a woman was killed in a fatal car crash in Eatonton.
According to Georgia State Patrol officials, the accident happened at the intersection of West Bypass and Imperial Mill Road. Police confirmed that a woman was driving her Jeep Patriot when she pulled out at the intersection. Her vehicle was struck by a Honda Accord driven by a 21-year-old woman. The vehicles involved were badly damaged as a result.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. The driver of the Jeep was pronounced dead at the scene as a result of traumatic injuries. The driver of the Honda was rushed to Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital and is expected to be okay.
The roadway was blocked in the area of the intersection for a period of time.
No further details have been released but the investigation remains ongoing.
