E Point, GA – Rollover Accident Leads to Injuries in NB Lanes of I-85
East Point, GA (January 12, 2023) – A rollover collision with injuries took place on a highway in East Point on the morning of Thursday, January 12.
According to local officials, the accident happened around 9:55 a.m. in the northbound lanes of I-85 around the area of exit 73, Virginia Avenue. Police confirmed that several vehicles were traveling in the northbound lanes of traffic when they collided with each other, causing one of the vehicles to overturn. The involved vehicles were badly damaged in the accident.
Paramedics, fire crews, and several other local responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more parties sustained injuries as a result of the accident. The injured parties were hospitalized, though their conditions are not yet known.
Two left lanes of traffic were blocked in the area for some time. Police urged those traveling through to use Highway 29 as an alternate route.
