E Point, GA – Multi-Vehicle Crash with Injuries on I-285 Near Washington Rd
East Point, GA (December 15, 2021) – At 12:05 p.m. on the afternoon of Wednesday, December 15, a multi-vehicle crash with injuries occurred in East Point.
According to Fulton County officials, the accident happened in the northbound lanes of I-285 around the area of exit 1, Washington Road. Several vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided due to reasons that are not fully known. The vehicles involved in the accident were extensively damaged as a result.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims sustained injuries as a result of the accident. The injured parties were taken to local hospitals for treatment, though their conditions are not yet known.
Due to the severity of the accident, several lanes of traffic were blocked in the area. This led to delays until police cleared the scene.
