E Point, GA – Car Accident on The Perimeter Near Washington Rd
East Point, GA (August 6, 2021) – At 1:43 p.m. on the afternoon of Friday, August 6, a car accident with injuries occurred in East Point.
According to Fulton County officials, the accident happened in the northbound lanes of The Perimeter around the area of exit 1, Washington Road. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided with each other due to reasons that are not yet known. The vehicles involved in the accident were extensively damaged.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims, who have not yet been identified, were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries. Their conditions are not yet known.
The left and center lanes of traffic were blocked for a period of time. Police urged those in the area to use I-85 as an alternate route.
The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues.
