Dunwoody, GA – Car Accident on I-285 Near Chamblee Dunwoody Rd
Dunwoody, GA (April 17, 2021) – At 6:15 p.m. on the evening of Friday, April 16, a car accident took place on a highway in Dunwoody.
According to the DeKalb County Police Department, the accident happened in the westbound lanes of I-285 around the area of Chamblee Dunwoody Road. Three vehicles were involved in a chain-reaction collision in the area due to unknown reasons, which led to extensive damages to the involved vehicles.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were taken to the hospital for treatment of their injuries.
The left lane of traffic was blocked in the area, which led to slight delays.
The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues.
