Duluth, GA – Multi-Vehicle Collision with Injuries in NB Lanes of I-85
Duluth, GA (October 3, 2021) – At 9:39 p.m. on the night of Sunday, October 3, a multi-vehicle collision occurred on a highway in Duluth.
According to Gwinnett County Police, the accident happened in the northbound lanes of I-85 around the area of Sugarloaf Parkway. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided with each other due to reasons that are not yet known. The vehicles involved in the crash were badly damaged as a result.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were injured as a result of the collision. The injured victims were hospitalized, though their conditions are not yet known.
The roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time. Police urged those in the area to use Highway 316 as an alternate route.
The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues at this time.
