Duluth, GA – Multi-Vehicle Collision in SB Lanes of I-85 Leads to Injuries
Duluth, GA (July 29, 2021) – Around 10 a.m. on Thursday morning, July 29, a multi-vehicle collision with injuries occurred on a highway in Duluth.
According to Atlanta Police, the accident happened in the southbound lanes of I-85 around the area of exit 103, Steve Reynolds Boulevard. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided with one another due to reasons that are not yet known. The vehicles involved in the crash were badly damaged and had to be towed from the scene.
Paramedics and numerous other local responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries. Their conditions are not known at this time.
A temporary red alert was released in the area for some time, which meant that all lanes were blocked for a period of time. Police quickly worked to clear the scene.
The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues at this time.
