Duluth, GA – Injuries Reported in Car Accident in SB Lanes of I-85
Duluth, GA (August 8, 2022) – Around 6:24 p.m. on the afternoon of Monday, August 8, a car accident with injuries took place on a highway in Duluth.
According to Gwinnett County officials, the accident happened in the southbound lanes of I-85 around the area of Highway 316. Police confirmed that two or more vehicles were traveling in the southbound lanes of the highway when they became involved in a chain-reaction crash with each other. The vehicles involved in the accident sustained severe damages as a result of the accident.
Paramedics, fire crews, and several other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were seriously injured as a result of the collision. The injured parties were taken to local hospitals for treatment, though their identities and conditions are not yet known.
