Duluth, GA – Critical Injuries in Car Accident on Buford Hwy

Duluth, GA (October 10, 2021) – At 8:23 a.m. on the morning of Sunday, October 10, a serious car accident occurred on a major roadway in Duluth.

According to Duluth Police, the accident happened on the Buford Highway around the area of Old Peachtree Road. Two vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided due to unknown reasons, causing the vehicles to sustain severe damages. Debris was scattered all over the roadway due to the accident.

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One person, who has not yet been formally identified, was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

Police confirmed that the driver who caused the accident was arrested for driving under the influence. The roadway was blocked in the area for a period of time as police worked to clear the scene.

No further details have been released but the investigation into the accident continues.
