Dublin, GA – UPDATE: Two Dead, Three Hurt in ATV Wreck on Robert Plummer Rd
Dublin, GA (August 13, 2021) – Further details have been released after a fatal ATV crash occurred in the East Dublin area of Laurens County on August 7.
Troopers with the Georgia State Patrol are investigating the fatal ATV accident, which killed two people on Robert Plummer Road in East Dublin.
Around 3:30 p.m., GSP was dispatched to a vehicle crash on Robert Plummer Road in Laurens County. An initial crash report stated that an ATV was traveling eastbound on Robert Plummer Road when, for unknown reasons, it veered off of the road and onto the south shoulder.
The ATV then hit three pedestrians and continued driving, striking several small trees.
The ATV driver, identified only as a 24-year-old man, sustained fatal injuries. Another man, a 37-year-old from Lumber City, also suffered fatal injuries, though it’s unclear if he was a pedestrian or was riding on the ATV.
Paramedics were on the scene to treat the other victims involved but did not provide further details about the extent of their injuries or their current conditions.
No further details have been released but the investigation continues at this time.
