Dublin, GA – Two Killed in Fatal Car Accident on US-441
Dublin, GA (June 28, 2021) – At 4:30 p.m. on the afternoon of Saturday, June 26, two people were killed in a fatal car accident in Dublin.
According to Georgia State Patrol officials, the accident happened in the northbound lanes of US-441 around the area of Holly Ridge Road. A GMC Sierra was driving south in the northbound lane of traffic when it struck a Volkswagen Jetta.
Paramedics and numerous other local responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. Two people inside the Jetta, identified as a driver and a rear driver’s side passenger, were killed in the collision. The parties have since been identified as a 17-year-old female and a 53-year-old man. Two passengers in the same vehicle were taken to the hospital for treatment of injuries.
The roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time.
No further details have been released but the investigation remains ongoing.
