Dublin, GA – Fatal Lawn Mower Accident at GA-338 & Mt Olive Rd
Dublin, GA (October 14, 2021) – At 4 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon, October 13, a fatal lawn mower accident occurred at an intersection in Dublin.
According to Georgia State Patrol officials, the accident happened at the intersection of GA-338 and Mount Olive Road. A Nissan Altima was traveling in the area when it did not stop in time for a man on a lawn mower. The Altima struck the lawn mower, causing extensive damages to the small vehicle.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene. The rider of the lawn mower, identified as a 74-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene due to injuries. Nobody else was hurt in the accident.
The roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time. Police quickly worked to clear the scene.
No further details have been released. The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
