Dublin, GA – ATV Accident Involving Teen at Montrose Rd & Old Macon Rd
Dublin, GA (May 28, 2022) – Around 10:40 a.m. on the morning of Friday, May 27, an ATV accident took place at an intersection in Dublin.
According to Laurens County Sheriff’s Office deputies, the accident happened at the intersection of Montrose Road and Old Macon Road. A teen was riding an ATV near the intersection by his home when he was struck by a passing pickup truck in the area. The accident caused the teen to be thrown from the ATV and onto the ground. The driver of the pickup truck allegedly remained at the scene.
Paramedics, fire crews, and several other local responders were called to the scene to assist. The teen, who has not yet been formally identified, sustained head injuries as a result of the accident. He was rushed to the hospital by medical helicopter for treatment but his current condition is not yet known.
The roadway was blocked at the intersection for a period of time. Police worked to clear the scene so traffic could return to normal.
No further details have been released but the investigation remains ongoing.
