Dry Branch, GA – Tractor-Trailer Accident with Injuries in EB Lanes of I-16
Dry Branch, GA (January 26, 2023) – On Wednesday morning, January 26, a tractor-trailer accident led to injuries on a highway in Dry Branch.
According to Georgia State Patrol officials, the accident happened around 8:11 a.m. in the eastbound lanes of I-16. Police confirmed that a vehicle was driving in rainy conditions when the driver suddenly lost control, causing it to strike another vehicle. A tractor-trailer approached the area and slammed into one of the crashed vehicles, which led to extensive damages.
Dry Branch EMS crews and firefighters were immediately dispatched to the scene. Several victims reported injuries as a result of the collision. The injured parties were taken to local hospitals but are expected to fully recover.
The roadway was blocked in the area until 9:07 a.m., when police were able to fully clear the scene.
