Douglasville, GA – Man Killed in Fatal House Fire on Christy Ridge Dr
Douglasville, GA (April 12, 2021) – Around 5 a.m. on Sunday morning, April 11, a man was killed in a fatal house fire in Douglasville.
According to officials, the fire broke out in a home at 3100 Christy Ridge Drive. When crews initially arrived at the scene, they found the home heavily engulfed in flames. They were told that at least one person could still be inside the home.
Fire crews worked diligently to extinguish the two-story home so that it would not spread to nearby homes in the area. Crews used equipment to move debris so that they could find the person inside. The homeowner was found in the garage area.
Paramedics were called to the scene to assist. The 46-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The investigation into the circumstances of the fire continues.
