Dougherty County, GA – Man Killed in Car Crash on Malone Dr near Whiting Dr
Dougherty County, GA (September 6, 2021) – An accident in Albany claimed one man’s life on Friday evening. On September 3, emergency crews were notified that their assistance was needed on-site at a crash on Malone Drive.
Reports from authorities show that a 46-year-old man was walking in the area of Malone Drive and Whiting Drive. At the same time, a car was traveling down Whiting Drive. The driver of the vehicle turned off the roadway and into a driveway near Malone Drive.
The driver lost control of their vehicle and struck the pedestrian. The man became entrapped under the vehicle.
The victim was removed from under the vehicle. However, the extent of injuries was too severe. The man ended up passing away. At this time, the cause of the crash remains under investigation.
