DeKalb Co, GA – Multi-Vehicle Crash Causes Injuries on I-85 at Pleasantdale Rd
DeKalb Co, GA (May 8, 2021) – Officers with the DeKalb County Police Department say that injuries resulted from a car crash that took place on Interstate 85 on Saturday morning.
According to information released by DeKalb County authorities, the accident took place around 2:00 a.m. in the northbound lanes of I-85 around the Pleasantdale Road exit. The accident involved two or more vehicles and led to extensive damages.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene of the accident. One or more victims were injured as a result of the accident. It appears that the injured victims were taken to the hospital for treatment of their injuries, though updates on their conditions have not been provided.
Almost all lanes of traffic were blocked for a period of time following the collision, causing traffic backups in the area. The crash occurred in the left lane but the other details leading up to the accident are unknown at this time.
No further information has been released but the investigation continues.
