Decatur, GA – Tractor-Trailer Crash on I-285 Near Flat Shoals Rd
Decatur, GA (September 4, 2021) – At 12:46 a.m. on Saturday morning, September 4, a multi-vehicle crash involving a truck with injuries occurred in Decatur.
According to officials, the accident happened in the westbound lanes of I-285 around the area of Flat Shoals Road. A tractor-trailer was traveling in the area when it suddenly became involved in a collision with another vehicle. The tractor-trailer overturned into the median barrier and was extensively damaged.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims, who have not yet been identified, were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries. Their conditions are not yet known.
Several lanes of traffic were blocked in the area for some time. Police quickly worked to clear the scene.
