Decatur, GA – Tractor-Trailer Crash on I-285 at Flat Shoals Rd Causes Injuries
Decatur, GA (December 31, 2021) – At 10:30 p.m. on Friday evening, December 31, a truck accident occurred on a highway in Decatur.
According to police, the accident happened in the westbound lanes of I-285 around the area of Flat Shoals Road. A truck was traveling in the area when it suddenly collided with one or more passenger vehicles. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged and had to be towed from the scene.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were injured as a result of the accident. The injured parties were taken to local hospitals for treatment.
Due to the severity of the accident, a large portion of the roadway was blocked for a period of time. Police quickly worked to clear the scene.
