Decatur, GA – Tractor-Trailer Collision on I-285 Near Glenwood Rd
Decatur, GA (May 28, 2021) – At 10:18 a.m. on Friday, May 28, a tractor-trailer collision took place on a highway in Decatur.
According to DeKalb County officials, the accident happened in the southbound lanes of I-285 around the area of Glenwood Road. A tractor-trailer collided with one or more passenger vehicles in the area, which led to extensive damages.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those with injuries. One or more victims, who have not yet been identified, were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries.
Only one left lane of traffic was open in the area for some time, which led to extensive delays.
The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues at this time.
