Decatur, GA – One Killed in Fatal Motorcycle Crash on I-20
Decatur, GA (February 13, 2022) – Around 7 p.m. on Friday evening, February 11, one person was killed in a fatal motorcycle crash in Decatur.
DeKalb County Police confirmed that the collision took place on I-20 around the area of Wesley Chapel Road. A motorcyclist was traveling in the area when their vehicle was suddenly struck by a passenger vehicle due to reasons that are not fully known. The motorcycle sustained severe damages as a result.
Paramedics, fire crews, and several other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One person on the motorcycle, who has not yet been identified, was pronounced dead at the scene due to traumatic injuries. It is not believed that anyone else was hurt in the crash.
The roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time. Police quickly worked to clear the scene.
