Decatur, GA – Multi-Vehicle Collision with Injuries in SB Lanes of I-285
Decatur, GA (October 16, 2021) – At 11:15 p.m. on the night of Friday, October 15, a multi-vehicle collision with injuries occurred in Decatur.
According to DeKalb County officials, the accident happened in the southbound lanes of I-285 around the area of exit 41, Memorial Drive. Several vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided due to reasons that are not fully known. The vehicles involved were left with extensive damages.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were injured as a result of the accident. The injured victims were taken to local hospitals for treatment, though their conditions are not yet known.
All lanes of traffic were blocked in the area for an extended period of time as police worked to clear the scene.
