7/6 Norcross, GA – Rollover Accident on I-85 Near Beaver Ruin Rd

Decatur, GA (August 14, 2021) – At 8:38 a.m. on the morning of Saturday, August 14, a multi-vehicle collision occurred in Decatur.

According to police, the accident happened in the southbound lanes of I-85 around the area of Flat Shoals Road. Multiple vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided due to reasons that are not yet known. The vehicles involved in the accident were extensively damaged and had to be towed from the scene. Multiple vehicles were photographed with extensive front-end damage.

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims, who have not yet been identified, were injured in the crash. The injured victims were hospitalized as a result.

All lanes of traffic were blocked in the area for a period of time as police cleared the scene. Police urged those in the area to use Highway 29 as an alternate route.

The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues at this time.
