Decatur, GA – Multi-Vehicle Collision on I-20 Before Candler Rd
Decatur, GA (June 3, 2021) – At 8:43 p.m. on the night of Wednesday, June 2, a multi-vehicle collision occurred on a highway in Decatur.
According to DeKalb County officials, the accident happened in the eastbound lanes of I-20 around the area of Candler Road. Several vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided due to reasons that are not yet known. The vehicles involved in the accident were left with extensive damages.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were injured and rushed to local hospitals for treatment.
Two right lanes of traffic were blocked for a short period of time as police cleared the scene.
The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
