Decatur, GA – Car Crash with Injuries at Covington Hwy & Glenwood Rd
Decatur, GA (October 9, 2021) – At 4 p.m. on the afternoon of Wednesday, October 6, a car crash with injuries occurred in Decatur.
According to DeKalb County officials, the accident happened at the intersection of Covington Highway and Glenwood Road. Two vehicles were traveling in the area when they entered the intersection at the same time, colliding forcefully with each other. One of the vehicles was so badly damaged that it lost its bumper in the middle of the intersection. The vehicles had to be towed from the scene.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were injured as a result of the accident. The injured victims were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries.
The roadway was blocked in the area of the intersection for an extended period of time. This led to delays until police cleared the scene.
The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues at this time.
