Decatur, GA – Car Crash at Covington Hwy & S Hairston Rd Intersection
Decatur, GA (April 5, 2021) – At 6:43 p.m. on the evening of Monday, April 5, a car crash with injuries occurred at an intersection in Decatur.
According to the DeKalb County Police Department, the accident happened at the intersection of Covington Highway and South Hairston Road. Two vehicles allegedly entered the intersection at the same time, which led to extensive damages.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene. One or more victims were taken to the hospital for treatment of their injuries.
Due to the severity of the crash, the roadway was blocked in several lanes. This led to delays in the area for some time.
No further details have been released but the investigation continues.
