Decatur, GA (April 13, 2021) – At 6:42 a.m. on the morning of Tuesday, April 13, a car accident with injuries occurred on a highway in Decatur.

According to police, the accident happened in the eastbound lanes of I-20 around the area of Wesley Chapel Road. Multiple vehicles collided around the area of the right shoulder, leading to extensive damages.

Paramedics and numerous other local responders were immediately dispatched to the scene. One or more victims were taken to the hospital for treatment of their injuries.

The accident led to blocked lanes in the area, which caused delays until police cleared the scene.

The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
