Decatur, GA – Car Accident on I-285 Near Covington Hwy
Decatur, GA (April 11, 2021) – At 4:27 a.m. on the morning of Sunday, April 11, a car accident occurred on a highway in Decatur.
According to the DeKalb County Police Department, the accident happened in the northbound lanes of I-285 around the area of Covington Highway. Multiple vehicles collided in the area, which led to extensive damages.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene. One or more victims were injured and hospitalized, though their conditions are not yet known.
Multiple right lanes of traffic were blocked in the area. This led to delays.
