Decatur, GA – Car Accident at Covington Hwy & Wesley Chapel Rd
Decatur, GA (July 28, 2021) – At 6:13 a.m. on the morning of Wednesday, July 28, a car accident happened at an intersection in Decatur.
According to DeKalb County officials, the accident happened at the intersection of Covington Highway and Wesley Chapel Road. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided due to reasons that are not yet known. The vehicles involved in the accident were extensively damaged.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries. Their conditions are not yet known.
The roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time as police worked to clear the scene.
The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
