Decatur, GA – Car Accident at Clairmont Ave & Scott Blvd
Decatur, GA (July 8, 2021) – At 2:47 p.m. on the afternoon of Thursday, July 8, a car accident with injuries occurred in Decatur.
According to local officials, the accident happened at the intersection of Clairmont Avenue and Scott Boulevard. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when they entered the intersection at the same time, colliding forcefully with each other. The vehicles involved in the crash were extensively damaged as a result.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims, who have not yet been identified, were taken to local hospitals for treatment of unknown injuries.
One or more lanes of traffic were blocked in the area for a period of time, which led to extensive delays until the scene was cleared.
No further details have been released. The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues at this time.
