Danielsville, GA – One Person Killed in Fatal Car Crash on GA-98
Danielsville, GA (July 31, 2021) – Around 6 p.m. on Friday evening, July 30, one person was killed in a fatal car crash on a roadway in Danielsville.
According to the Georgia State Patrol, the accident happened on GA-98. The accident happened between a Suzuki Vitara and a Ford Explorer. The Suzuki and the Ford collided head-on when one of the vehicles crossed over the center line. The Ford went off the side of the road and then overturned. The vehicles were both extensively damaged as a result.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders. The driver of the Suzuki, identified as a 49-year-old woman, was trapped in her vehicle and had to be extricated. She was then transported to a local hospital and pronounced deceased. The three occupants inside the Ford, identified as a 43-year-old woman, a 67-year-old woman, and a 7-year-old girl were all hospitalized with injuries. They are expected to make full recoveries.
Due to the severity of the crash, the roadway was blocked for an extended period of time.
No further details have been released but the investigation remains ongoing.
