Dalton, GA – Two-Vehicle Collision with Injuries at US-41 & Shugart Rd
Dalton, GA (May 29, 2022) – Serious injuries stemmed from a two-vehicle collision that took place at an intersection in Dalton on Sunday night, May 29.
According to Whitfield County officials, the accident happened around 10:30 p.m. at the intersection of US-41 and Shugart Road. Two vehicles were traveling in the area when they entered the intersection at the same time, causing both of the vehicles to forcefully collide with each other. The involved vehicles were badly damaged as a result of the accident.
Several local responders, including paramedics and fire crews, were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were injured in the accident. The parties were rushed to local hospitals for treatment of serious injuries, though their current conditions are not yet known.
The roadway was blocked at the intersection for a period of time. Police quickly worked to clear the scene so traffic could resume as normal.
The investigation into the accident continues. Whitfield County officials continue their investigation into the collision.
