Dalton, GA – Two Killed in Fatal Accident at GA-3 & Haig Mill Lake Rd
Dalton, GA (September 4, 2021) – On Friday, September 3, a fatal accident with injuries occurred at an intersection in Dalton.
According to Georgia State Patrol officials, the accident happened at the intersection of GA-3 and Haig Mill Lake Road. Two vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided with one another, causing a head-on collision. The vehicles involved in the accident were extensively damaged as a result.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. Two passengers inside a Ford Fusion sustained fatal injuries. The victims have since been identified as a 19-year-old woman and an 18-year-old woman.
Three other people were seriously injured, one of which was identified as a 19-year-old female driver. One of the victims remains in critical condition.
The roadway was blocked in the area of the intersection for an extended period of time.
No further details have been released but the investigation continues.
