Dalton, GA – Tractor-Trailer Crash at Callahan Rd & Abutment Rd
Dalton, GA (July 7, 2021) – At 1:58 p.m. on the afternoon of Wednesday, July 7, a tractor-trailer crash occurred in Dalton.
According to Whitfield County officials, the accident happened at the intersection of Callahan Road and Abutment Road. Two trucks were traveling in the area of the intersection when they collided with each other. The vehicles involved in the crash were badly damaged as a result.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other local responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries.
The roadway was blocked in the area of the intersection for a period of time.
No further details have been released but the investigation remains ongoing.
