Dalton, GA – Severe Injuries in Rollover Accident at Chattanooga Rd & I-75
Dalton, GA (August 15, 2022) – Around 2 p.m. on the afternoon of Monday, August 15, a car accident with serious injuries took place at a Dalton intersection.
Dalton Police Department officials confirmed that the accident happened at the intersection of Chattanooga Road and I-75. Police have not released the exact circumstances of the accident at this time. However, photographs at the scene showed that at least two vehicles collided, with one of them overturning. The overturned vehicle sustained severe damages and debris was left scattered all over the road as a result of the crash.
Several responders, including paramedics and fire crews, were called to the scene after the crash. Several victims were severely injured in the accident. The parties were treated at the scene by EMS crews and then rushed to local hospitals for further treatment. One or more were taken to the hospital by medical helicopter. Their current conditions are not yet known.
Due to the severity of the accident, a large portion of the intersection was blocked in the area for some time. This led to delays until the scene was cleared.
