Dalton, GA – Serious Multi-Car Accident with Injuries on I-75
Dalton, GA (July 13, 2021) – On Tuesday afternoon, July 13, a serious multi-car accident with injuries occurred on a highway in Dalton.
According to Whitfield County officials, the accident happened in the northbound lanes of I-75 around the area of exit 328. Several vehicles were traveling in the area when they became involved in a chain-reaction crash due to reasons that are not yet known. The vehicles involved in the crash were badly damaged.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were trapped in their vehicles and had to be extricated by fire crews. The injured victims were rushed to the hospital, though their current conditions are not yet known.
The northbound lanes of traffic were blocked in the area for a period of time.
No further details have been released but the investigation continues.
