Dalton, GA – Serious Injuries in Car Accident at GA-3 & Pleasant Grove Rd
Dalton, GA (April 24, 2022) – Serious injuries were reported in a car accident that took place at an intersection in Dalton on Friday night, April 22.
According to Whitfield County officials, the accident happened around 9:57 p.m. at the intersection of GA-3 and Pleasant Grove Road. Several vehicles were traveling in the area when one or more lost control, causing them to collide with each other. The involved vehicles were badly damaged and had to be towed from the scene.
Paramedics, fire crews, and several other local responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were severely injured as a result of the collision. The injured parties were hospitalized, though their conditions are not yet known.
The roadway was blocked at the intersection for an extended period of time. Police quickly worked to clear the scene so traffic could return to normal.
The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues.
