Dalton, GA – Rear-End Accident with Injuries on Walnut Ave
Dalton, GA (August 11, 2021) – On Wednesday afternoon, August 11, a rear-end accident occurred on a major roadway in Dalton.
According to Whitfield County officials, the accident happened on Walnut Avenue around the area of I-75. Two vehicles were traveling in the area when one of the vehicles slammed into the back of the other. The vehicles were identified as a sedan and an SUV. The sedan was extensively damaged on its front end.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries. Their conditions are not known at this time.
The roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time as police worked to clear the scene.
The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues.
