Dalton, GA – Perry Bell Killed in Motorbike Accident at Lazy River Motocross
Dalton, GA (September 25, 2022) – A mayor of a small city in Georgia was killed in a motorbike accident at an event in Dalton on Saturday morning, September 24.
Dalton officials confirmed that the accident happened at Lazy River Motocross in the morning hours. Perry Bell, who was the mayor of White, Georgia, was competing in an event on his motorbike. He became involved in a collision with another motorbike while performing a stunt due to reasons that are not fully known. Both vehicles were badly damaged in the accident.
Several Dalton responders, including fire crews and paramedics, were called to the scene to help those in need. Bell, who has only been mayor for over two months, was tragically pronounced dead at the scene of the accident due to traumatic injuries. It is not known if anyone else sustained injuries in the collision.
The area was blocked off for an extended period of time after the collision.
