Dalton, GA – Multi-Vehicle Crash at Reed Rd & Poplar Springs Rd
Dalton, GA (September 28, 2021) – On Tuesday, September 28, a multi-vehicle crash with injuries occurred at an intersection in Dalton.
According to Whitfield County officials, the accident happened at the intersection of Reed Road and Poplar Springs Road. Several vehicles were traveling in the area when they entered the intersection at the same time, colliding with each other. One of the vehicles, identified as a green sedan, sustained front-end damages and the airbag deployed. The vehicles involved in the crash were towed from the scene.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims, who have not yet been identified, were injured in the crash. The injured victims were taken to local hospitals for treatment.
Due to the severity of the accident, a large portion of the roadway was blocked at the intersection for a period of time.
No further details have been released but the investigation remains ongoing.
