Dalton, GA – Multi-Vehicle Crash at Chatsworth Hwy & Dalton Bypass
Dalton, GA (April 27, 2022) – Around 2 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon, April 27, a multi-vehicle crash took place at an intersection in Dalton.
According to Whitfield County officials, the accident happened at the intersection of Chatsworth Highway and Dalton Bypass. Several vehicles were traveling in the area when one or more lost control, causing the vehicles to forcefully collide with one another. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged and had to be towed from the scene. Debris was left scattered all over the road in the area.
Several local responders, including paramedics and fire crews, were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were injured as a result of the accident. The injured parties were rushed to local hospitals for treatment, though their conditions are not known at this time.
Due to the severity of the accident, the roadway was blocked in the area of the intersection for an extended period of time. Police quickly worked to clear the scene.
