Dalton, GA – Injury Accident at N Bypass & N Thornton Ave Intersection
Dalton, GA (July 18, 2022) – One or more parties sustained injuries as a result of a car accident that took place at a Dalton intersection on Monday morning, July 18.
According to Whitfield County officials, the accident happened after 10:20 a.m. at the intersection of the North Bypass and North Thornton Avenue. It is believed that several vehicles were traveling in the area when they entered the intersection at the same time, which caused them to collide with one another. The involved vehicles had to be towed from the scene due to severe damages.
Several Dalton responders, including paramedics and fire crews, were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims sustained serious injuries in the accident. The injured parties were taken to local hospitals for treatment, though their identities and conditions are not known at this time.
The roadway was blocked in the area of the intersection for a period of time. Police worked to clear the scene as quickly as possible.
