Dalton, GA – Injuries Reported in Fiery Crash on Dug Gap Rd
Dalton, GA (April 23, 2021) – On Friday, April 13, a fiery crash took place on a roadway in Dalton that led to injuries.
According to Whitfield County officials, the accident happened on Dug Gap Road when two or more vehicles collided with each other. One of the vehicles immediately caught on fire and became completely engulfed in flames due to the accident.
Landscaping workers and a Puckett EMS worker were in the area and pulled the victim out of the burning vehicle. The victim, who has not yet been identified, was taken to the hospital with minor injuries and is expected to recover.
Due to the severity of the crash, a large portion of the roadway was blocked in the area for some time.
No further details have been released but the investigation continues.
