Dalton, GA – Car Accident at S Dixie Rd & Nexus Rd Intersection
Dalton, GA (August 20, 2021) – Around 12:54 p.m. on the afternoon of Friday, August 20, a car accident with injuries occurred in Dalton.
According to officials, the accident happened at the intersection of South Dixie Road and Nexus Road. Two vehicles were traveling in the area when they entered the intersection at the same time, forcefully colliding with each other. The vehicles involved in the crash were extensively damaged and had to be towed from the scene.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries. Their conditions are not known at this time.
The intersection was entirely blocked for a period of time until police cleared the scene.
The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues.
