Dallas, GA – Injuries Reported in Car Accident at GA-61 & Vernoy Aiken Rd
Dallas, GA (June 12, 2022) – Injuries were reported in a car accident that took place at an intersection in Dallas on Saturday night, June 11.
According to Paulding County officials, the accident happened around 10:14 p.m. at the intersection of GA-61 and Vernoy Aiken Road. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when they entered the intersection simultaneously, forcefully colliding with one another. The involved vehicles were badly damaged as a result of the accident.
Several local responders, including paramedics and fire crews, were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were hurt in the accident. The injured parties were treated at the scene by EMS crews and then hospitalized for further treatment.
The roadway was blocked at the intersection for 45 minutes as police worked to clear the scene.
No further details have been released at this time but the investigation continues. Police will update with more information as it becomes available.
