Dahlonega, GA – Woman Killed in Fatal Car Accident on I-75
Dahlonega, GA (November 30, 2021) – Around 7:09 a.m. on Monday morning, November 29, a woman was killed in a fatal car accident in Dahlonega.
According to Georgia State Patrol officials, the accident happened on I-75 just south of Cleveland. A 64-year-old woman was driving a Chevrolet Tahoe and pulling out of a private driveway. She entered the highway and was struck in the driver’s side door by a Chevrolet Silverado being operated by a 33-year-old man from Clermont. The Tahoe was extensively damaged as a result.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. The 64-year-old female driver was pronounced dead at the scene due to traumatic injuries. Two passengers inside her vehicle, as well as the driver of the Chevrolet, were injured. The victims were taken to Northeast Georgia Medical Center for treatment of their injuries.
Due to the severity of the accident, a large portion of the roadway was blocked in the area for a period of time.
No further details have been released. The investigation into the circumstances of the collision remains ongoing.
