Cumming, GA – Three Injured in Bus Accident at GA-400 & Martin Rd
Cumming, GA (February 10, 2022) – On Tuesday afternoon, February 8, three people were injured in a bus accident that happened at a Cumming intersection.
According to Forsyth County officials, the accident happened at the intersection of GA-400 and Martin Road. An SUV was traveling south on the highway when they drove into the intersection, colliding forcefully with a daycare bus in the area. The bus immediately rolled over onto its side. Police said that no children were on the bus at the time of the accident.
Paramedics and numerous other local responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. The driver of the bus, as well as an adult passenger, received minor injuries and were hospitalized. The driver of the SUV was taken to the hospital with fractures but is expected to recover.
The intersection was blocked in the area for an extended period of time as police worked to clear the scene. This led to delays for a period of time.
No further details have been released but the investigation into the accident continues.
