Cumming, GA (August 6, 2021) – On Wednesday night, August 4, a house fire took place in a home in Cumming.

According to Forsyth County officials, the fire broke out in a home on 4305 Hopewell Manor Drive. The fire started after a domestic dispute. Sheriffs were on scene when they suddenly saw the home starting to fill with smoke and believed that the fire was coming from the basement. Multiple firefighters were inside the home when the fire started to blaze out of control.

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were present at the scene. Three firefighters were burned in the incident. One of the firefighters received burns to his upper extremities and was rushed to the hospital. The other two firefighters both sustained minor injuries.

The area was blocked for an extended period of time as crews worked to get the scene under control.

No further details have been released. The investigation into the accident continues.
