Crandall, GA – One Killed in Fatal Collision on Mill Creek Rd
Crandall, GA (June 9, 2021) – On Wednesday morning, June 9, one person was killed in a fatal collision on a roadway in Crandall.
According to police, the accident happened on Mill Creek Road around the area of the Cohutta National Forest. A driver was allegedly negotiating a curve on the roadway when the driver went off the side of the road. The vehicle went down a steep embankment and struck several trees. A passenger was ejected from the vehicle.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene. The passenger of the vehicle, who has not yet been identified, was pronounced dead at the scene as a result of traumatic injuries.
The roadway was blocked in the area for a period of time.
No further details have been released but the investigation remains ongoing.
