Covington, GA – Multi-Vehicle Collision on GA-138 Near Animal Hospital
Covington, GA (September 3, 2021) – At 3:40 p.m. on the afternoon of Wednesday, September 1, a multi-vehicle collision occurred in Covington.
According to Walton County Sheriff’s Office deputies, the accident happened on GA-138 around the area of the Walnut Grove Animal Hospital. Five vehicles were traveling in the area when they were involved in a chain-reaction collision. The accident led to extensive damages to the involved vehicles.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims, who have not yet been identified, were injured in the collision. The injured victims were immediately hospitalized.
The roadway was blocked except for one lane as police worked to clear the scene.
No further details have been released. The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues at this time.
